This is facility was built in 1996 with one goal in mind; to create a calm and welcoming environment for patients and owners alike.

Our lobby is warm and friendly with up-to-date pet-related literature.  Our hospital has an excellent ventilation system for fresh air quality. The building is climate controlled for year-round comfort. The exam rooms feature a 3D imaging atlas that our doctors and technicians will use to help you understand your pet's condition.

A separate cat ward with natural lighting provides a calm, comfortable, quite environment for cats.

Indoor runs for dogs assure cleanliness and security year-round.

A special surgery suite is used only for surgery.  The heated surgery table and Bair Hugger heating blanket allows patients to retain body heat during anesthesia and aids in a quicker recovery. Our radiowave surgery unit allows us to perform surgery with considerably less tissue trauma. We use isoflurane gas, the safest available and the same anesthesia used in human hospitals.  We have Anesthetic monitors on all patients and a Technician with them at all times.  Pain medication is ALWAYS used to assure post-operative comfort.  At the Animal Hospital of Chetek, pain management is not an option, it is always mandatory.

Our laboratory equipment is state-of-the-art and allows us to run blood chemistries, complete blood counts, electrolytes and many other tests right here in the hospital. Blood chemistry changes within 6 hours, having these test available in minutes allows our doctors to make informed decisions in a timely manner. This is essential when dealing with critical patients.

Our lab also includes 3-D ultrasound and digital X-Rays that Dr. Kuchevar & Dr. Khan can use to help diagnose illnesses more quickly and initiate specific treatment the same day.
