Dr. Mike Kuchevar - Chief Medical Officer:
Dr. Kuchevar graduated from the University of Wisconsin - School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He completed several clinical externships in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Kuchevar has worked at the Dallas Zoo in the medical facility, and is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. His special interests include avian medicine, and ultrasonography. He was in the animal health field for 10 years before attending veterinary school.
Dr. Kuchevar is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the Northwestern Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association.
In his spare time Dr. Kuchevar enjoys fishing, snowmobiling, playing with his dogs, and above all else cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

Dr. Kamran Khan - Hospital Owner
Dr. Khan graduated from the Ross University of School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. He completed his clinical training at Purdue University - School of Veterinary Medicine. He had been a certified veterinary technician from 2006-2010. Dr. Khan has completed internships at Research Animal Resources at the University of Minnesota and at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, where he was also the Assistant Director of the Mammal Nursery. His special interests include emergency and critical care, preventative medicine, and feline medicine.
Dr. Khan is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Khan is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
Dr. Khan took over the Animal Hospital of Chetek after it's former owner and founder, Dr. Rene' Carlson, left to become president of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Carlson had founded the Animal Hospital of Chetek based on the principle of providing the highest quality care available. Dr. Khan is honored to maintain the extremely high standards the Hospital's founder had established.
When Dr. Khan is not at the Animal Hospital of Chetek he can be found fishing, playing basketball, or watching football at his home in Chetek with his wife, daughter, son, and their two cats. |
